Comfort Inn & Suites Murrieta: Comfort Says Thanks

Comfort Says Thanks was a memorable experience for me. Comfort Inn and Suites is known for their famous breakfast waffles, with original and other unique flavors. To celebrate Comfort Inn, Comfort Inn's around the world host an open house to showcase their rooms and to publicize to the public what Comfort Inn is really all about. As an intern at the Comfort Inn and Suites Murrieta, I helped out in the Comfort Says Thanks event. I went to the hotel on behalf of Linens N Love to represent who we were and to spread the word about who and what Linens N Love is. Before the event started, we all spent the morning sending out reminders to remind everyone to come by the Comfort Inn and enjoy a delicious waffle or two.

When the event started, I started by running the check-in booth. Before the event, the manager of the Comfort Inn told us that the number of attendees who would be coming is unpredictable. Sure enough, we had a great turnout. Check in was very successful because everyone knew what their job was in helping out at the event and attendees were cooperative. After the check-in booth was starting to die down, I switched jobs with another intern and I helped out in the breakfast room where the waffles were being taste tested. Attendees could make waffles with the three flavors and then decorate it. After decorating, guests then took a picture with it and then I reminded them to post it on their social media using the hashtag #whatsyourwaffle. When the guest uses this hashtag, Comfort Inn and Suites Murrieta will then donate $5 to Linens N Love.

The event came to an end and it was a successful event. Linens N Love helped clean up and then we were on the road to a delivery. We delivered our linens to Southwest Community Animal Shelter of Corona and the Salvation Army of Corona.

After interning at this event, I learned more about social events. I learned how an event like this works and how to get guest's attention easily. I cannot wait to help out more!
