400 linens donated TODAY to a local animal shelter!!!

YAY! Today, I led Linens N Love in our Southern California Chapter Fall Kickoff Delivery at the Irvine Animal Care Center! In total, we donated a whopping 400 linens with the help of student leaders, members, parents, and teacher advisors.
The day began with packing and sorting linens. We received donations of all types, ranging from towels to large, fluffy blankets. The sorting and packing process took quite a bit of time, but in the end, we all felt super accomplished! After bringing the linens into the facility, we embarked on the shelter tour. I coordinated with one of the animal shelter volunteers, Beth, to arrange for a tour of the shelter!
During the shelter tour, I encouraged every member and volunteer to ask a ton of questions. The Q&A session of Linens N Love is by far one of the most important aspects of Linens N Love. Students learn how their actions have made an impact and how small actions can go such a long way.
The day then continued on with our team bonding and leadership activities. I split the members into two groups, with the chapters all mixed up so that everyone would be able to get to know one another.
Overall, the Fall Kickoff was a HUGE success! I'm so happy that more people know about Linens N Love now!!
