SAT Study Progress Update :)

Hi again, blog!!! It’s currently 11:57 pm and I am just about to go to sleep! Just wanted to update you on how my SAT studying is going so far (in case you were wondering). I think my website is turning into a blog now

Political Office Internship with California State Senator Ling Ling Chang

I am blown away by the amount of knowledge that I have gained through this political office internship. From June to August, I interned in the office of California Senator Ling Ling Chang to enhance my professional skills and broaden my knowledge of political campaign

The University of California, Los Angeles Summer Institute on LA Media and Politics

Held at the University of California, Los Angeles, the Junior State of America Summer Institute was the highlight of my summer 2019! From interviewing city officials such as the City Controller of Los Angeles to collaborating to create a culminating research project, the Institute helped enhance my knowledge on Los Angeles Media and Politics.

Less than 40 applicants were selected to attend the program. I met people from all across the United States that have such compelling backgrounds!

While applying for the Institute, one of the questions was asking about a social issue that you care deeply about. If I remember correctly, I decided to write about gun control in the United States. While attending this Institute, so many different views were brought to my attention. One of the great lessons that I learned while attending the Institute was that even if you may not agree with someone regarding your opinions, you should respect their perspective. "Agree to disagree!".

Overall, I loved learning on campus and exploring UCLA for the first time!
